  1. Thank you for evaluating ResSched Single User.  Please
  2. read all of this notice before continuing to install
  3. ResSched.  It contains information on logging on to
  4. ResSched for the first time as well as other important
  5. information.

  7. Reading the Introduction and 'The Basics' in the
  8. ResSched HELP file  before running ResSched, will get
  9. you started quickly.

  16. Madrigal Soft Tools Inc. offers this software "As Is"
  17. and does not warrant that the software is error free.
  18. Madrigal Soft Tools Inc. disclaims all other warranties

  20. including but not limited to implied warranties of
  21. merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and
  22. non-infringement of third party rights.

  38. associated documentation is held exclusively by
  39. Madrigal Soft Tools Inc.  Terms and conditions for 
  40. any distribution of ResSched Single User can be found
  41. in the Help file.  If the Help file (resschm.hlp) is
  42. not available further distribution is prohibited.

  45. ------------ Evaluation ----------------------
  46.  
  47. You are free to evaluate this fully functional software
  48. under actual working conditions for 21 days. After 21
  49. days, you must license the software if you wish to
  50. continure using it.  Although ResSched Single User will
  51. continue to work after 21 days,  access wil be
  52. increasingly delayed by one second for each day since
  53. the evaluation period expired.

  57. ------------  Installation -------------------
  58.  
  59. If you choose to install the executable files and help
  60. file in different directories from the data files you
  61. must change the Working Directory (Windows 3.1 or NT)
  62. or Start In property (Windows 95) of the ResSched Program
  63. Item to reflect the location of the data files.
  64.  
  65. The file SYSLIC3.TPS must be placed in the same directory
  66. as your data files.

  69. --------Converting Older Versions --------------------- 
  70.  
  71. If you have been using a version of ResSched earlier
  72. than 3.0a,  you must run CONVOLD.EXE to convert your data
  73. before using ResSched for the first time.

  76. We strongly recommend you follow this order:
  77.  
  78. 1) create a new directory for this version of ResSched
  79. on a workstation;
  80.  
  81. 2) install this version of ResSched into the new
  82. directory;
  83.  
  84. 3) place a COPY of your existing data files (*.TPS)
  85. into the new directory and make a separate secure
  86. copy of your existing data files 
  87.  
  88. 4) run CONVOLD.EXE and respond to its queries. CONVOLD
  89.    converts your data files to RESDATA.TPS and modifies
  90.    SYSLIC3.TPS to reflect your current license status. 
  91.  
  92. 5) run the new version of ResSched and confirm that
  93. your data has been converted correctly.
  94.  
  95. 6) remove the old version of ResSched.

  98. Please note that the new version of ResSched can not
  99. access the data of the old version and vice versa.

  103. ------------- SHARE.EXE or VSHARE.386 -----------------
  104.  
  105. Windows 3.1 users must have either SHARE as a command in
  106. their AUTOEXEC.BAT file before the "win" command or the 
  107. VSHARE.386 device driver loaded in their SYSTEM.INI file
  108. (in your C:\windows directory).  Many users will have 
  109. one or the other already in their system set up.
  110.   
  111. If you get a "File Creation" or sharing violation errors
  112. message on opening ResSched,  check to see one or the
  113. other is present.  If both are missing, consult your
  114. DOS or Windows documentation for specific instructions
  115. on changing your autoexec.bat or system.ini file. The 
  116. File Creation error also occurs if you do not have 
  117. SYSLIC3.TPS in your shared data directory.
